Process


There are several significant dates in the roadmap process and there will be regular updates as and when they take place.

  • March 30 Registration open for online consultation
    Members and stakeholders register their interest in taking part in the online consultation

  • April 2-3 Scoping Group workshop
    To develop clear Visions and Issues for each Priority Areas as defined by the steering group and explore new lines of inquiry

  • May Exploration workshops
    Facilitated workshops that allow the RSC to better understand the potential of a series of new lines of inquiry, which encompass and expand the initial Priority Areas

  • June 2 - June 6 Crafting and Articulating Workshop
    Workshop to bring together all the big thoughts and themes that have emerged throughout the scoping group, exploration workshops and current RSC policy work. Define the issues and visions for each Priority Area as Challenges and identify potential opportunities for the chemical sciences in order to meet the Challenge.

  • June 16 - July 28 online consultation #1
    Online consultation to comment on the challenges and potential opportunities for chemical sciences in addressing global challenges.

  • September 15 - October 6 online consultation #2
    Online consultation to review responses to the first session and comment on a series of potential priorities mapped against a time horizon.

  • November 17 - November 28 online consultation #3
    An opportunity for you to review and give us feedback on the process.

  • November RSC General Assembly
    Initial findings presented.

  • December - Roadmap launch
    Roadmap report is launched and implementation phase commences.
