High impact science

ISI®  citation data released in June 2007 shows that RSC journals have had an impressive average rise in impact factor of 10% for the third consecutive year.  Among the headline success stories is Lab on a Chip with an impact factor of 5.82 and Green Chemistry seeing a 29% increase in its impact factor to 4.19. Meanwhile, the impact factor for Journal of Materials Chemistry has risen 58% over the last 2 years to 4.29 and that for Natural Product Reports is now 8.89.  The RSC's two new journals, Soft Matter and Molecular BioSystems, received their first (partial) impact factors of 4.39 and 2.45, respectively.
