Linking to RSC Journals

To register for OpenURL links from an RSC journal, please contact us with the following information:

• Institution name and address
• BaseURL of Institutional Links Server
• URL of links image to be displayed       

Digital Object Identifier

RSC Journal articles can also be linked to via the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) which uniquely identifies an article.

Reference Linking

Users of RSC journals online can benefit from new Reference Linking facilities.  Value-added features provided by links from the references in online articles now include access to the full-text of the cited article, where available online.

Reference Linking facilities now include:

• Free access to the Chemical Abstracts Service abstract for the reference via ChemPort
• Links to the full text of the reference, where available online, on the publisher's server (a subscription or pay per view may be required to access the article via CrossRef)      

Forward Citations

Articles are linked to later articles in which the original article is cited.
