The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the Brazilian Federal Agency for the Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES) recently reached an agreement to make RSC journals available to 122 of Brazil's leading universities and research institutes.

The agreement provides electronic access to all content of current RSC journal titles, and also includes the RSC Journals Archive. Scientists in Brazil can now read any journal article published by the RSC from 1841 to the present day.

Earlier in 2007, the RSC also signed a five-year International Cooperation Agreement (ICA) with the Sociedade Brasileira de Química (SBQ) in Brazil. This latest announcement further strengthens the links between the RSC and chemists in Brazil.
