Assessment of renewable energy potential through satellite data and numerical models
Francisco J. Tapiador
There is an increasing use of satellite data and numerical models to assess the environmental constraints and energy potential of several renewable energies, namely solar, wind, hydropower, biomass and geothermal. This paper presents an overview of state of the art spatial technology and quantitative models in renewable energy research, with an emphasis on applications.
