Call for papers: Metal oxide nanostructures: synthesis, properties and applications

26 August 2008

PCCP is delighted to announce a forthcoming high-profile themed issue on Metal oxide nanostructures: synthesis, properties and applications, Guest Edited by Nicola Pinna, Markus Niederberger, John Martin Gregg and Jean-Francois Hochepied.

The themed issue will be published in PCCP in May 2009 and will be and displayed at the high-profile European Materials Research Society (EMRS) spring meeting in Strasbourg in June 2009, maximising the visibility of work published. It is our pleasure to invite you to submit to this themed issue.

Submission deadline: 01 December 2008

The aim of this themed issue is to encapsulate the state-of-the-art in multidisciplinary research on metal oxide nanostructures. Metal oxide nanostructures are at the centre of many emerging applications such as nanophotonics, spintronics, microelectronics, energy storage and conversion, catalysis, biomedical applications, sensors and actuators and so on. Control of size, shape, surface, architecture and assembly properties of nanoscale materials are crucial steps towards their study in fundamental research and their implementation in technological devices.

Submissions should be high quality manuscripts of original, unpublished research. Please note that for publication in PCCP it is a requirement that a manuscript should contain important new physical insight. Both Communications and Full Papers can be submitted for consideration. All submissions will be subject to rigorous peer review to meet the usual high standards of PCCP.

For your article to be considered for publication in this themed issue, please submit it by 01 December 2008. Please indicate upon submission that you wish to contribute your manuscript to this themed issue.

Further details can be obtained by contacting the PCCP Editorial Office.
