Organising Events

One of the main activities of a chemical society is to organise events. These will probably be a mixture of social and formal events. Try to have one or two events per month plus one main event per term. Below are some examples to give you a few ideas:

  • Demonstration lectures ยท
  • Pub crawls
  • Society balls/dinner dances
  • Quiz nights
  • Industry visits
  • Academic or social day trips
  • Nightclubbing
  • Christmas parties
  • Sports teams
  • Cocktail parties
  • Summer BBQs
  • Chemical Society Reviews

Lectures

You need to start planning lectures about three months in advance
