Faraday Discussion 144: Multiscale Modelling of Soft Matter
12 August 2008

University of Groningen, The Netherlands
Faraday Discussion 144, aims to bring together scientists from different (but overlapping) fields of modelling and to encourage the cross-fertilization of ideas from bio-simulation, materials modelling, liquid crystals and colloids.
The following themes will be included in the discussion:
- Polymers
- Colloids
- Mesophases
- Membranes
- Methodology for multiscale simulations
The meeting will be opened with an introductory lecture by Kurt Kremer (Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany). Herman J C Berendsen (University of Groningen, The Netherlands) will conduct the closing remarks.
The latest ISI citation data give an impact factor for Faraday Discussions of 5.0, emphasising their importance as a forum for developing new ideas. For your chance to be published in the journal and discuss your work at the conference alongside the invited speakers, submit an abstract for oral presentation.
Deadline for submission of abstracts for oral presentation - 19 September 2008
For more information on the scientific aims, details on how submit an abstract, and the full list of invited speakers presenting their work at the conference see the 'In this section' links.
